Service Description

Create Your Own One-of-a-Kind Necklace with guest artist Julie Lukosaitis! Discover the ancient art of enameling—where powdered glass transforms into smooth, vibrant glass through the magic of heat. In this hands-on workshop, Julie will guide you step by step through the entire process. You’ll begin by selecting your design: “The Flower” or “The Trio” necklace. From there, you’ll: 1. Cut and shape copper sheet metal 2. Choose from over 100 enamel colors 3. Torch-fire the enamel, watching as it shifts through all three stages to become a glossy finish 4. Complete your necklace with a colored leather cord or a copper chain No experience necessary—just come ready to create, learn, and leave with a beautiful handcrafted piece you’ll be proud to wear. All materials and supplies are provided in class. All you need is your creative ideas and if you have none I'll have plenty for you. An 18" copper chain necklace and findings are included in this class. Extra materials will be available for purchase. A little about Julie Lukosaitis: Artwork in any medium is born from a spark of intention like a dance fully emerging from thought, passing through hands, and eyes. Torch fired glass has been with Julie for over 25 years. It has taught her focus, given her happiness and failures, challenges and successes. Meticulously constructed, she use the torch to melt the glass layer upon layer, reading the heat and applying ancient techniques and skills. I strive to capture beauty with-in my glass art. Glass art has unlocked a door for Julie. In 2014, Beadazzled By Julz, LLC was born out of the desire to teach the ancient art of glass bead making skills and art jewelry. She has since expanded to include glass blowing and enameling. What sets her apart as a creator and teacher is 29 years of experience working in public education. Julie is grateful for the opportunities to foster creativity, make friends, and share her skills.
